Well my laptop is finally taking a crap, and I miss desktops...

Just need a good gaming rig with a good mouse and maybe a keyboard

any help would be awesome, I'm a bit outdated since I been using my laptop for 3 yrs now. need something that will preferably last me a good while, and can handle current pc games no problem.... $1500 - $2000 preferably I also need a tower for the pc of course.. the budget is desired, but of course exceptions can be made...

HELP ME :(

post here and email me @ [email protected] as I am limited to internet until I get home within the next 2 weeks.

hey just my area of expertise :-D

here's one of the builds im looking at if i get my tax refund

https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.aspx?ID=16614888

Antec 1200 ATX Case
Asus Crosshair III AM3 board
AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4Ghz quad-core AM3
Corsair XMS3 4GB DDR3 1600
WD Velociraptor 300GB 10000rpm sata
(2)Gigabyte GTX285 1GB
Antec Quattro 1000W PSU
LG 8x Blu-ray burner
Acer 22" LCD

right at 2,080...you could take a few bucks off by getting a regular dvd-rw drive and just 1 video card. that would be llike 1600 + shipping. that way you could leave room for a badass mouse, keyboard and headset :-D

This is an excellent build but it depends what you want to do with it yayo, if it's strictly a gaming rig downgrade the HDD to a 150GB or even 75GB raptor still @ 10,000RPM. If you decide to store everything you can always buy a cheap 1TB external later anyways. That HDD downgrade saves you cash to buy a headset(I prefer steelseries 5H V2) and a nice keyboard/mouse.

yeh... i'm actually headed home the 23rd now... lol... yeh I was thinking of a raptor that was like 150gb... that will be more than enough.. since I already have a 1 TB external...

Windows 7 / XP / Vista ?

I havent even seen 7 lol...

besides a few compatibility issues, 7 is quite solid.

Indeed 7 is all good and Yayo if you need to be hooked up with 7 ultimate I can give you an unused serial # I have for it.

wow that would be awesome... btw any pros and cons for a gamer to go with either 7 Home or Pro? and a power supply these days is 500W enough?
