Since my current system won't cut it for bfbc2 I've picked out the following from newegg.ca. Not sure if it's all compatible or not because I know next to nothing about computer hardware. My upgrade budget is $1000

CPU

Dual Core 6600
2mb ddr2 ram
rampage forumula motherboard (not idea what the model # is)
Nvidia 260GTX (keeping this)

dont worry about this stuff GM and myself are researching. The lowest i7 is our best bet with OCing it. Let you know when you get back. Were not planning on doing it till game release or a bit after that even.

just a heads up on the i7 series CPUs, the 1156 socket take dual channel and the 1366 take triple channel. but anyways either of those cpus would kick ass. i'd prolly go with the i7 920 though. for a motherboard your gonna look to spend around 160-190 on a board for the 1366.

nice choice on the hard drive, i've got the Raptor X 150GB. Corsair ram is good as well..no problems there.

I built this 2 months ago, I knew BFBC2 was gonna be a rig killer so i updated so i could be ready for it. Runs TF2,L4D2.Crysis and BFBC2 Beta at Max settings without a issue.
